Dear Supporting Friends and AFO-USA,

By God’s grace, the youth camp in the village was completed successfully and brought such beautiful spiritual fruit.  Betty and I were able to assist Ben in the camp called “The Kingdom of Heaven.” This time, we felt led to stand behind the Bible teachers ,supporting them through encouragement, prayer, and financial help. I spent time pouring into the young people, and my son Ben was  able to teach in some of the sessions. We had several Bible teachers from our team.

 

The camp was built around three main activities:  teaching God’s Word, helping some of the youth learn guitar and worship singing, and enjoying games together. The sessions were also divided by age groups, as children of all ages came; even the very young ones had their own time to learn.

Around 180 young people attended, and together with teachers, cooks, and other adults, there were more than 200 people in total. About half of the youth were non-believers. We had encouraged the believing youth to each bring at least one non-believing friend , and they did. Many of these young people received Jesus during the camp. It was so moving to see lives touched, hearts changed, and so many beginning to discover their purpose in Him. Our team poured out so much love and care, and the youth were filled with joy and excitement throughout.

Most of them are village students who rarely get the chance to experience something like this. They came from 17 different villages, many from poor families.  Many were from the Lisu tribes, and they are so in need of Jesus and the purpose He has for their lives.. It was such a blessing to be able to provide food and meet their needs during those days together.

On behalf of our team and all the young people, we are deeply grateful to the donors and AFO-USA for being such a blessing to these precious youth from the villages of Chiang Mai, Thailand.  God’s presence was truly with us throughout the camp. We give all the glory to Jesus. May God continue to bless you all as we partner together for His Kingdom.
