TYPHOON YAGI RELIEF

On September 6, the worst typhoon in over a decade swept through Vietnam, Thailand, and into Myanmar.   The southern half of the country has been devastated by gale force winds and monsoon floods.  More than 500 people have been killed.  Over 600,000 have been affected have lost their homes and livelihoods in the floods and resulting mudslides.

AFO 's Jesus Foot Soldiers have been active in rescue efforts and helping people resettle to safety.

 

The needs are great -

  • clean water

  • food

  • clothing

  • shelter

  • medical care

PRAY FOR THE PEOPLE OF MYANMAR

 

The men, women, and children of Myanmar are suffering beyond belief.  Many have lost their homes and livelihoods in the last three years of war.  And now this devastating disaster.  The toll is especially great on young children and the elderly.

"But you, God, see the trouble of the afflicted;  you consider their grief and take it in hand.
The victims commit themselves to you;  you are the helper of the fatherless."  Psalm 10:14
