How Family-Based Child Care Works:
Asia Frontier Outreach Family-Based Child Care program is developing in remote, neglected regions of northern Myanmar. A child who needs financial assistance to attend school is referred to the program by their village pastor or local Jesus Foot Soldier. A trained coordinator visits the home, assesses the child's and family's needs and establishes relationships with the children and parents or other caregivers. A brief bio and picture of each child is shared with AFO-USA, who share them with program supporters.
Due to the current political situation in Myanmar, families are experiencing 100% inflation. It costs $100 a month per child for school tuition, fees, school supplies and food assistance. Family-Based Child Care is funded by the financial gifts of our supporters.

"I have only one daughter but I couldn't afford to send her to school. I really wanted her to be educated. I tried to find ways to send her to the school. My husband has passed away. I am working so hard but all the income I make is just enough for both of us to survive.
One day I met a Jesus Foot Soldier, from Asia Frontier Outreach. As he learned about my family, he understood our deepest needs. He referred my daughter to Family-Based Child Care. When we heard that she was taken into the program, we had tears of joy! Now my daughter could go to school.
Since then, the Coordinator visits us every two weeks. We talk about how my daughter is doing in school. The coordinator also encourages us with God's Word, and prays with us. My daugher and I now have every morning devotional prayer which we have never done before. We also pray for all the supporters who make it possible for my daughter to go to school.
Jesus Christ is the Lord and Savior. God is our provider. Thank you, Jesus."
